The Tipping Point
To steal Malcolm Gladwell’s buzzphrase and intentionally misuse it, I need to find the tipping point at which the large amount of time time I spend in the grocery carefully price-checking and seeking out the best value for my money is worth more than the amount of money I actually save in the process.
On a related note, though I probably found some good values last night at the grocery, I probably don’t need to buy nearly as much at one time as I did. Not good for spreading costs evenly over time. Of course, I didn’t realize this until my cart was almost full, and it would have been foolish to go back through the store putting things up, after having already spent an hour in there bargain hunting.
